Halilu Zhang
Violin Teacher
Halilu Zhang is a virtuoso violinist known for her lyrical precision and vibrant stage presence. She received her training at the Tianjin Conservatory of Music and further refined her skills in Germany. After obtaining advanced degrees in violin performance in the United States, Halilu has become recognized for her harmonious blend of deep cultural insight and impeccable technique. She has showcased her talent as a distinguished orchestra player on renowned stages worldwide, including China’s most prestigious concert halls such as the National Grand Theatre in Beijing, the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, the Guangzhou Opera House, and Tianjin Opera House. In addition to her orchestral performances, Halilu has performed in concert with renowned singers, recorded theme songs for TV series, and represented Tianjin City in cultural events in China. Previously, she was a member of the University of Oklahoma’s Graduate Quartet, which performed at official university events, including a notable performance for the Governor of Oklahoma. While pursuing her DMA degree at the University of Oklahoma, she also served as a violin professor for non-major students. Currently, she holds tenured positions with the Wichita and Tulsa Symphony Orchestras in the United States. Halilu’s distinguished career is characterized by her unwavering dedication to the arts, enriching the cultural landscape through her performances and educational contributions.
